Karyn Dumble, MA CPF – President & Principal Consultant
Credible, Authentic Facilitation
Karyn Dumble is an award-winning Certified Professional Facilitator (CPF), and a well-respected facilitator of public consultations and stakeholder engagement. Toronto-based, Karyn regularly works with organizations located on both coasts of Canada and farther afield.
She has focused her career on bringing people together to create strong teams and strong communities. Karyn crafts facilitation designs from the straightforward to the complex.
Karyn loves working in high-heat situations and with diverse groups.
She often works with groups who are experiencing tension related to change. Clients regularly comment on her calmness during sessions where participants present strong emotions.
She leads stakeholder/community consultations, and assists organizations to plan strategically. She also moderates symposiums, conferences and Open Spaces.
Based in Toronto, Serving the World
Over the past few years, Karyn has facilitated public consultations for Parks Canada, for Ontario’s Dementia Strategy, Climate Change Plan, Poverty Reduction Strategy, and Police Carding.
She has led strategic planning processes for National Research Council Canada, the University of Toronto Mississauga, 8 80 Cities, Rogers Communications, and many others. She has also worked on municipal projects, including Durham Region’s Community Energy Plan.
Contributing to her Professional Community
Karyn is an Evaluator for the International Association of Facilitators’ Facilitation Impact Awards, was the Editor of their monthly publication, Global Flipchart from 2010 to 2014, and is a member of the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2Canada).

Ethan Jerry Mings, BMus CPF-M – Associate
A trusted associate of The Monarch Park Group Inc. and President at The Desk Consulting Group Inc., Jerry is a quality manager, Certified Professional Facilitator and Certified ToP Facilitator with experience in the health sector. He also brings to his clients a deep understanding of the development of strategic plans, performance indicators, of risk management and of quality management.
Jerry’s clients include Community Care Access Centres, hospitals and government agencies. In addition, Jerry designs public participation systems and asynchronous facilitation methods using the Internet. He is a creative problem solver with exceptional interpersonal, communication skills. Through a unique mix of facilitated planning, mediation, quality management practices and use of the Internet, he is able to bring a results oriented perspective to the dialogue of organizational performance.
Nora Sheffe, CPF Associate (Ottawa)
Nora Sheffe, is an Ottawa-based Certified Professional Facilitator and member of the International Association of Facilitators. She is an expert in design, facilitation and reporting. Nora has been consulting for close to 20 years. She has facilitated hundreds of meetings in organizations and communities across Canada and around the world.
Her projects include business and strategic planning sessions, participative public consultations, governance discussions, senior management retreats, conference facilitation, as well as learning and development workshops. She provides training in the areas of leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and facilitation.
As a process expert, Nora has worked with a vast range of groups and clients including: federal ministers and senior government officials, Toronto street-involved youth, leaders of national and international sports organizations, and rural nurses in Africa. Nora’s thoughtful, flexible approach allows her to excel in challenging circumstances. Her experience and knowledge of process techniques has enabled her to work effectively with expert advisory committees, boards of directors, multi-stakeholder groups, industry leaders and at town hall meetings with the general public.
